First job today was to build a bridge in the new splay over the ditch that would take 20 ton lorries of stone. Once the ducting and pea gravel was in, the first load of 20 tons was poured on top. Quite a height difference between road edge and our driveway too so needed gradient. We will obviously tarmac and finish properly to roadside before it’s used in angst, this is just to get the huge lorries in. 100 tons gone in today, same again tomorrow. We have moved so much topsoil that things can get a little messy. James and I are both keen to keep the road as clean as possible.
